Funds that have done well over a long period of time
When looking back and trying to narrow down what funds have done well over a long period of time, one will see that Mutual Funds are not so lucrative, as just sticking with our boring friend Mr Standard & Poor 500.

Narrowing it down:

1. Must have a 20 year track record: only 1,145 funds.
2. Is a domestic equity funds: down to 562
3. Did better than the index the last 10 and 15 years: 173
4. Only 93 of them are still possible to invest in with 10.000$.

The top performing funds were sector funds in Brokerage, Home Finance, Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Defense and Aerospace, and Energy Services.

Taking this into account, it very much looks like an normal distribution, a curve around or below the broad market index where some randomness makes some little small percentage above.
