Summing up the bad choices
This guy over at fool.com is having a recollection of all the bad investment choices he have done. Both buying stocks that have declined, and sold thing too early.

His blunders include:

  1. Not starting to invest until he was in his 30’s.
  2. He did not buy Apple, he did not buy Microsoft, He did not buy InVision Technologies.
  3. He did buy Sun Microsystems for $40 in 1997 and sold it with a loss, but apparently got out before it hit $4.

It does not help to cry over spilled milk.
I can not say that I think much good will come out of such self battering sessions. It can make you aware of mistakes and possibly avoid them in the future.

The whole investment game is about not knowing for sure, and there will be good investing moments and there will be bad investing moments. That is just the way the game works. It is hopeless to spend energy on what ifs.

If everybody knew for sure what the future would bring, and if we all managed to act on all hunches, everybody would be billionaires.
