Investing is not as easy as it seems
The quote of the day:

At least he has been profitable over a number of years, and through some bull and bear markets.

I think it is greatly over exaggerated how easy it is to make a lot of money in the stock market. At least you would have to put in some time and effort to get some experience.

When the newspapers has some story how easy it is, it is easy to believe it.

For example Pål Bang Hansen made a lot of money. (He is a Norwegian TV personality). If he can do it, so can everybody. Yes?

The link is in Norwegian, but he says, “It is nice to earn money while he is sleeping”.

At the time of writing this, there are some big downward moves in the stock markets. That is what people forget about when they read stories like this and wants to be a part of the stock market game.

So: it will take some time and effort to get better and better at investing. If you made a ton of money right off the bat you were probably lucky and you will probably be over confident went the market turns.
