Did Randall know?

There are speculations that Randal Pinkett may have smelled the fuse. Did he actually know that Trump was thinking of hiring both him and Rebecca?

Quote: “While Trump was questioning the two candidates during the live portion of the finale, Randal turned to the previously eliminated candidates and gave them the following direction “If you believe that I should be the sole and single Apprentice tonight, candidates please stand, please stand.”"

A key part is the statement: “… that I should be the sole and single Apprentice tonight”. Why would he have said that without having at least a hunch that there would be two hiring.

The day after the finally

One the day after the finally on a Microsoft seminar Randall said,
“There were a lot of rumors floating around that this would be the season given the multiple firings that there might be a multiple hiring so I certainly left room for the possibility in the back of my mind that would be something that Mr. Trump would do and so it didn’t come as a surprise. I was hoping that he would have been the one to make the single decision and not put the ball back in my court.”
