Form 10-K

A report filed annually by public companies with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Forms 10-K typically lack the glossy photos and design of annual reports sent to shareholders, but they are rich in information for investors and can be obtained from any public company simply by asking, or from the EDGAR database on the Internet. In general, the 10-K presents a more detailed and unvarnished picture of the company's operations and situation than is found in its regular annual report.
